I nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw that curved item on the top lefthand of 607.jpg. Its an example of the one in that drawing you showed me that I like so much. Perhaps it is even the original from which the drawing was made. Someday I know you are going to make one of those !

It really was inspiring to see these things up close after having seen them in books for ever. Pictures so don't do them justice. Up close you can really feel the history of it. I drooled over the Sutton Hoo pieces for hours. One day I want to go to the viking museum in Norway.
